The 2023 Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) year has ended. The 2024 program year starts October 1, 2023. All elderly & disabled households may begin submitting applications for the 2024 program starting October 1, 2023. Payments to utility companies cannot occur until November 1, 2023, for elderly and disabled. No pledges are submitted to utility companies for the month of October.
All non-elderly & non-disabled households may begin submitting 2024 applications starting November 1, 2023. Payments to utility companies for these households cannot occur until December 1, 2023.

YOU'RE INVITED!!!! To the Fair Boards Annual Trunk or Treat, October 29th from 5-7pm at the Vandalia Fairgrounds.
Beginning today, October 11th and continuing every Wednesday, the Arthur Center will be providing mobile pediatric services from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Services will include well child check, (with immunizations), and acute health needs. Appointments can be made by calling the Arthur Center, to schedule ahead of time, at 573-582-1234 extension 1055. The unit will be at Van-Far Elementary School; between the school and new building. Services are open to any child (birth through age 18).
If you are someone you love has an opioid or other substance, use disorder, no matter what phase of use or recovery, the Recovery Community Centers provide a peer-based supportive community that builds hope and supports healthy behaviors for individuals. Dont be afraid to reach out for help!!

All Town Trash Pick Up will be October 14, 2023. Put your items for pick up out the night before, October 13, 2023. Pick up will start at 5:00 am. Refrigerant Form can be picked up at City Hall. Refrigerant items WILL NOT BE PICKED UP if the form is not attached.
